About
From the cool, moist cloud forest of Monteverde to the jungle of Cano Negro, to the sublime beaches of Montezuma, Costa Rica’s natural splendor shines through. Visitors encounter oceans, beaches, rivers, mountains, and an abundance of flora and fauna.
The capital, San Jose, offers visitors both cultural and historical attractions while most other destinations outside the city offer plenty of wildlife viewing opportunities. Costa Rica is geographically divided into seven provinces. Explore with CanTico any of the country's eight tourism regions and find out why Costa Rica is one of the most diverse and magnificent places in the world.
CanTico was formed in November of 2008 when Carole Beaupre from Canada, decided to operate a kayak touring, eco-adventures and fly fishing business in Costa Rica.
Carole has operated a kayak touring business in Canada for the past 4 years offering tours both in British Columbia, Mexico and the San Blas Island of Panama. She has also worked in the fly fishing industry for the past 10 years with Kootenay Fly Shop and Guiding Co. in Fernie, British Columbia, where she guided, taught fly casting and ran the fly shop.
Now CanTico has developed a series of specialty tours for all ages and abilities. Tours vary from half day to multi-day expeditions. Activities include, kayak expeditions, fly fishing for tarpon from boats and kayaks, hiking, mountain biking, zip lines etc… We also specialized in custom tours for up to a week or two touring Costa Rica. If we don’t have it just ask for it and we will organize your own personalized tour of Costa Rica. We also provide tours in Nicaragua.
CanTico uses the innovative Hobie sit on top kayak that you can peddle, paddle and sail. No kayaking experience is needed.
Welcome to CanTico website and explore Costa Rica the way you want.
